The 35-year-old video gaming personality announced the promotion on Friday morning with a simple graphic on his website stating "Go To PatrickScottPatterson.com - Get FREE STUFF"
Vistors will get the chance to obtain the freebies through a variety of methods involving Patterson's website, from high score contests to hidden "easter eggs" hidden on his website to contests involving photo contests and trivia.
"Gamers like to have fun, so everything involving these free items will be just that," Patterson said. "It will be fun and creative for everyone involved."
Among the announced free items so far include XBox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC games courtesy of Gearbox Software, free DVDs of the classic game show Starcade courtesy of JM Productions and collectibles from the 1990 Nintendo World Championships autographed by champion Thor Aackerlund.
More promotional items furnished by other sources will be announced soon.
Articles and features on Patterson's website include a free online arcade, historical project Registry of Historic Gaming Locations, articles on a variety of video games and gamers, game trailers and gameplay clips, live streams and other promotional links and content.
