Attendance at GovCamp Brisbane Conference

March 31, 2012 - PRLog -- The event was a bringing together of minds, from government and the private sector, as how to best leverage social media as a medium for government to communicate with the general public.

Bay has taken a keen interest in Government 2.0 as it sees social media as being a logical expansion of the current channels with which its developed software allows governments and communities to communicate. Many of the discussions that it has been a part of have been integral in developing current product functions.

Conference attendee John Hardgrave found the level of communication and nature of the discussions to be very positive and heartening. “It is encouraging to see so many government agencies engaging in these sorts of discussions and looking at the best ways with which they can open conversations with the public.”

Bay looks forward to furthering its relationship with the Gov2.0 and continuing to work on ways for new technologies to grow the levels of communication between government and the general public.
