Jump It Party and Play owner by Kathi Bennett states, “This event started out as an idea for something different in the Lafayette community for our kids. The idea has grown into a community effort with businesses coming to us wanting to get involved to make the festivities even better for our children and parents.”
Some of the games will include: Snap Apple (similar to bobbing for apples), Mookie the Moose freeze dance, Hide and Seek, Guess the number of candy corns in the jar, and others. Bennett goes on, “The amazing thing is that we actually have sponsors who are donating some pretty amazing gifts for the contest winners. Our sponsors include: Lafayette Savings Bank, Twin City Electric, Discovering Profits Marketing, Coldstone Creamery, Game Exchange, International Square Mall, and JF and Company Childrens’ Clothing.”
The event will be held at Jump It Party and Play on Tuesday, October 25th from 6-8 PM. Children do not have to wear a costume, but can if they would like. “We will also be having a kids costume contest that starts off that night. Parents can upload pictures of their kids in their Halloween costumes to our Facebook page. Our fans will then vote on their favorite costumes and the winner will receive a Wii game system from the Game Exchange. Parents can upload their photos starting October 25th – Halloween night. Voting will end November 2nd with results posted on our Facebook page.”
