CC Learning to bring its successful PRINCE2™ Foundation with Practitioner course to Dunedin

Oct. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Facilitated by trainer Dennis Pienaar, the PRINCE2™ (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) course is the opportunity to gain one of the world’s most recognised project management certifications.

“PRINCE2™, which was developed by the UK Government, provides the common processes, management products as well as roles and language for use when it comes to any project across an entire organisation,” CC Learning CEO Scott Spence said.

“Essentially, the PRINCE2™ method has become standard in both the private and public sectors and it is exciting that we are now able to offer this world-class course in Dunedin.”

The course in Dunedin follows on from the successful PRINCE2™ Foundation with Practitioner course that CC Learning ran in New Plymouth early last month.

Mr Spence added that the organisation had received excellent feedback from the New Plymouth PRINCE2™ course and encouraged delegates to ensure they book their spot for the Dunedin course.

“In fact, the New Plymouth course was so successful, we are now planning to run them in the area twice a year,” he said.

“We’re already starting to receive great interest and bookings for the Dunedin course, so delegates should book in now to avoid missing out.

“Whether you’re a project manager, project team manager, project co-ordinator or officer, part of a project support staff or even a consultant or contractor, then this course is imperative,” Mr Spence said.

A delegate from Staples Rodway Taranaki Limited who attended the PRINCE2™ Foundation with Practitioner course in New Plymouth was full of praise for the programme, which was held at One Burgess Hill.

“The venue was excellent and in a lovely setting which does aid the learning process. The catering was good.”

The Dunedin course will provide delegates with an overview of the PRINCE2™ project management method, implications of its use and implementation, principles of PRINCE2™ to projects, managing quality and risk, and delivering projects on time, within budget and to the specified business case.

While no formal pre-requisites are required to undertake the course, CC Learning does recommend all delegates, regardless of their experience, take advantage of the pre-course study materials.

The PRINCE2™ Foundation with Practitioner course will be held from Monday, 31 October through to Friday, 4 November 2011, 9am to 5pm. The course includes training, exams, material and catering.
