He says, "I started my non-profit organization, Winning at the Race of Life (WRL) as a way to give back to communities in need because throughout my travels I kept coming across the same common denominator, -hopelessness.” It was hopelessness that inspired Sammy and his team to take action. He says he wants everyone to WIN at the race of life and he’s helping many people do just that. Check out what Sammy and his team do when he's not putting his life on the line to make famous faces look great: news On Saturday, November 12, 2011 Sammy, along with some of his celebrity friends are throwing a block party Thanksgiving charity event at his hotrod shop in San Gabriel California. This event will raise funds to help families in need, support his teenage mentoring programs and feed the hundreds of homeless he and his team provide meals for on Sunday evenings in downtown Los Angeles when he's not doing stuntwork. “There is so much need in the world today. It’s up communities to come together and help each other.” WRL is seeking corporate sponsorship and other organizations to help him get the word out about this very good cause. At this event, a 1969 Chevelle Malibu built by Sammy and his team at Maloof Racing Engines, (with over $75,000 invested into it) will be GIVEN away! This beautiful car is custom built and comes equipped with a 383 cubic inch displacement stroker engine, turbo transmission with Auburn possitraction and 4:11 gears and puts out approximately 540 horsepower and 565 foot lbs of torque. Every $20 donation to Winning at the Race of Life (WRL) automatically enters participants into a drawing to win this car.
