NASW-NC Conference Offers Professional Development to Social Workers

The National Association of Social Workers, North Carolina Chapter will present the 2011 Annual Fall Conference taking place at the Renaissance Hotel in Asheville, North Carolina on November 18-19.

Oct. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC -  The Annual Fall Conference is a meeting for the entire Social Work profession.  Everyone from the social work student to the Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice can benefit from the presentation offerings.  The Fall Conference is designed to focus on professional development, social worker physical and mental self-care, alternative practices and therapies, as well as issues related to the practice of social work in general.
 
Sessions vary in length and structure.  All will be either 1.5 or 3 hours in length.  After the conference, attendees will take away new ideas, knowledge, and the skills to implement them, thus enhancing their practice and area of specialization.

The North Carolina Chapter is an administrative unit of the National Association of Social Workers which is headquartered in Washington DC.  NASW-NC was developed in 1955 and the Chapter currently has 5 staff and over 4,400 members.  The Chapter owns office space located in the historic Oakwood neighborhood in downtown Raleigh, within walking distance of our North Carolina General Assembly, legislative and state offices.
