Oct. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- ATLANTA, GA – Dirty South TV announces the signing of life-long sports enthusiast Jeremy Smith to head their new sports show "The Jericho Hour." Starting date for their newest show is October 16th, 2011.

Smith will celebrate his guests before, during and after their sports careers with in-depth interviews accompanied by footage from the athlete's entire career in sports, from the humble beginnings all the way to their super-stardom.

Season 1's shows will air live October through December of 2011. Atlanta, Georgia has always been an iconic sports city deep in sports history, and is also a gateway to the rest of The Unites States for athletes. "Every athlete comes through Atlanta" says Smith.

Since childhood, Smith has always loved sports and the athletes that drove them. He has met a who's who throughout the years, but he could never share them with the rest of the world. That changed one day when he was sitting down with the owner of Dirty South TV talking about sports.

Dirty South TV is widely known as "The Future of Music Television." Based out Atlanta, Georgia, Dirty South TV always has someone significant to music rolling through.

This chance conversation with Jeremy Smith made Dirty South TV come to the realization that Jeremy's love for the game and the athletes that play it, should be represented by a true sports show. When asked why he didn't have his own sports show, Jeremy's reply was "no network ever wanted to listen to me before today--you're the first."

The new show is the perfect gateway to extend Dirty South TV's loving hand to athletes, whom we have all loved and admired since our earliest years.

"The Jericho Hour" will also feature the business side of sports: for example, one person who grew up loving sports so much now owns a team, manages a player, or endorses an athlete or team with their products etc.

“I’ve always wanted to work with athletes on my own show,” says Smith. "'The Jericho Hour' will bring a whole new swag to sports shows, because we care. I care, and the network cares. That's what will separate us from what was the standard before today.”

“The message of this show is definitely the result of years livin’ the sports-fan lifestyle,” says Smith. “The renegade athletes that excel against the grain, doin’ things their own way and on their own terms. You are what you’ve done and the legacy you leave behind is the life you live everyday. It’s all about the game and the only way to play is to live it. Many of these beliefs fuel 'The Jericho Hour'.

I learned from athletes that you really can accomplish anything you set your mind to. To me, sports are the root of everything a man or woman stands for--the refusal to lose in the game of life."

Smith is fully dedicated to three things in life--his family, sports and Dirty South TV.
