Then on Oct. 26, Denny’s will also host an American Cancer Society Benefit Night to raise additional funds. Ten-percent of sales between 4 and 8 p.m. will be donated to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Breast cancer survivors, patients and their families are encouraged to come out for a delicious dinner that gives back.
“In addition to raising funds to support the American Cancer Society, Denny’s will have a team walking in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on Oct. 30. We have numerous breast cancer survivors within our organization who will be walking for Team Denny’s with their supportive colleagues and friends by their side,” said Bob Erlinger, regional manager of franchise group QK Restaurants. “Making a difference in the communities we serve and in the lives of our diners is important to Denny’s and are pleased to support such a great cause.”
The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks take place across the country primarily during the month of October. The events bring communities together to celebrate those who have battled breast cancer and educate people about ways to reduce their risk. Every dollar raised helps save lives by educating people on staying well, finding cures, and fighting back against breast cancer. Since their start 1993, nearly seven million walkers have raised more than $400 million to help fight breast cancer through participating in the noncompetitive, three- to five-mile walks.

About the American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society combines an unyielding passion with nearly a century of experience to save lives and end cancer for good. As a global grassroots force of three million volunteers, we fight for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. We save lives by helping you stay well by preventing cancer or detecting it early, helping you get well by being there for you during and after a diagnosis, by finding cures through groundbreaking discovery and fighting back through public policy. As the nation’s largest non-governmental investor in cancer research, contributing more than $3.5 billion, we turn what we know about cancer into what we do. As a result, more than 11 million people in America who have had cancer and countless more who have avoided it will be celebrating birthdays this year. To learn more about us or to get help, call us anytime, day or night, at 1-800-227-2345 or visit cancer.org.
