iLinkSports.com to Stream "Battle of I-95 Continues" Lockout Exhibition Game

NBA fans from around the globe are given access to Kevin Durant, John Wall, Tyreke Evans & more via live, high-quality web stream

Oct. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- http://iLinkSports.com, a web-based sports network connecting sports and athletes globally, will stream the "Battle of I-95 Continues" lockout exhibition game live on Saturday, October 15, 2011.  For just $.99, basketball fans around the world can see Team DC vs. Team Philly play against each other for summer league bragging rights, only the second time in 30 years that this many NBA stars have convened in the Nation’s Capitol.

“http://iLinkSports.com goal is to connect the entire global sports community.  Through this live web stream, we are able to connect the NBA’s top players with their millions of fans who may not have the chance to see them play in arenas around the country this season,” said Don Toatley, president of http://iLinkSports.com and sports enthusiast. “The streaming capability allows us to offer a world-class game – you’ll never see this many stars playing together in a regular professional game – at an affordable price to any and everybody who has access to the internet.” Toatley has committed to giving discount game tickets to 500 youth who attend the game; most of whom would not otherwise be able to see their favorite players in person, and in their hometown.

Many of the game’s participants are regulars on the exhibition game circuit, which are becoming more and more commonplace as the NBA lockout drags out.  Team DC consists of Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder), John Wall (Washington Wizards), Jeff Green (Boston Celtics), Demarcus Cousins (Sacramento Kings), Nolan Smith (Portland Trailblazers), Greg Monroe (Detroit Pistons), Jarrett Jack (New Orleans Hornets), Sam Young (Memphis Grizzlies) and Dante Cunningham (Charlotte Bobcats); many of whom play on the famed Goodman League summer team.

Fresh off a highly publicized upset against Carmelo Anthony’s Team Baltimore, which also featured LeBron James and Chris Paul, Team Philly includes Hakim Warrick (Phoenix Suns), Tyreke Evans (Sacramento Kings), Kyle Lowry (Houston Rockets), Lou Williams (Philadelphia 76ers), Jason Thompson (Sacramento Kings) and Wayne Ellington (Minnesota Timberwolves).

http://iLinkSports.com will give members access to a customizable sports site that features web-a-links, blogs, sports glossaries, coach and player Q&A’s, live video streaming, social networking, sports news feeds and an online store.  The full site will launch in January 2012.

In August 2011, the site premiered its live web stream capabilities during the first Team DC game that featured many of the same professional players.  Viewers tuned in from various countries, including Canada, France, Japan, Switzerland, Mexico, Germany, Lithuania and the United Kingdom. Viewers can pre-register for the stream on the web site.  A portion of game ticket and web stream sales will go to support youth programs in DC.
