Therapy for Therapists offers a unique opportunity for busy therapists to take ‘time out’ to practise what they preach, and recharge their batteries. The concept is based around a 3 night break in Iceland where therapists will be able to relax and enjoy a guided tour of Iceland’s geothermic spas, with leading natural health therapist and author, Joannah Metcalfe.
This re-invigorating Icelandic break includes two visits to the world-famous Blue Lagoon as well as a waterside massage, a day at Reykjavik’s luxurious Laugar Spa with a hot lava stone massage, and a visit to the natural thermal baths at the rural Fontana Wellness Centre. Therapists will also be able to enjoy Iceland’s impressive waterfalls, spouting geysirs and historic Thingvellir National Park on a Golden Circle Tour, plus a Reykjavik City Tour. There may even be a chance to catch a glimpse of the famous Northern Lights!
Natural health expert and tour leader, Joannah Metcalfe, commented: “Being a dedicated therapist means that you never give less than 120%. A little time to invest in your own health and beauty is therefore a vital part of maintaining your energy, vitality and the success of your business.
“I have been visiting Iceland since the age of 18 and it is my favourite location for relaxation and recuperation. Massage treatments in Iceland are of an extremely high standard, far superior to those offered elsewhere. In addition to this, the hot geothermic springs contain a unique balance of minerals, which make the waters excellent for relieving stress and tension, aches and pains, arthritis and skin conditions. The Blue Lagoon also contains a range of algae – 60% newly discovered – which have an excellent skin rejuvenating effect.
“All in all, the treatments we’ve chosen, combined with the extremely pure, clean, fresh air and geothermic waters will ensure that you look and feel as if you have been away for a week – not a long weekend!”
The Icelandic Multi-Spa Break is being offered in conjunction with Discover The World, a leading tour operator, who has been creating inspirational holidays for over 27 years. The 3 night break costs from £543 per person plus £235 for a return flight with Icelandair (includes taxes). Available departure dates are 17th November 2011, 19th January 2012 and 9th February 2012.
EXCLUSIVE SHOW OFFER: Base Formula will be offering an exclusive 10% off for any Professional Beauty Visitor who books the Icelandic Multi-Spa Break before 31st October. Full details on how to book will be provided at the show and made available online.
