Artist Paints Supermodel Kate Moss in 24 Karat Gold

NYC Artist Jeremy Penn paints the portrait of Kate Moss in genuine 24k gold flake.

Oct. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- NYC Artist Jeremy Penn unveils his latest works of art, an edition of 3 prints of supermodel Kate Moss dusted in genuine 24 karat gold flake.

“Kate Moss has evolved into something more than just a supermodel. She is royalty. No color pigment can represent Kate Moss in the way in which she deserves. Real gold is the only choice,” said Penn of his use of 24-karat gold.

Kate Moss has not only been an inspiration for Jeremy Penn; She has inspired artists like Marc Quinn whose sculptures of Moss have sold for over $1,000,000.

Penn plans on donating a portion of the proceeds to the YSC (Young Survival Coalition), an organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer.

Jeremy Penn has been rising in the New York art scene ever since graduating from Pratt in 2003. His works have been exhibited internationally and received honors from curators at museums such as The Museum of Modern Art, New York and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Penn recently returned to the United States after being selected to represent America for Rosafest, a global art exhibition celebrating the Pan-American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.
