Car Donation Charities in Massachusetts

The United States is one of the most generous country, having hundreds of thousands of charities. Massachusetts is the home of many of those charities. Many of those charities rely on the proceeds from car donations to help finance their missions.

The American Macular Degeneration Foundation funds research into the prevention and treatment of macular degeneration. Macular degeneration is one of the biggest causes of vision loss among people over 55. This disease affects over 10 million Americans. They also provide support for the families of those suffering with it.
Teach for America works to ensure that children growing up in poverty get an excellent education. They recruit leaders who work to expand educational opportunities and teach for two years in low income communities. They service the greater Boston area.
The National Brain Tumor Society funds cutting edge brain tumor research and provides comprehensive educational, informational and services for patient and their families throughout the United States.
The mission of Partners in Health is to make a real impact on the twin epidemics of poverty and disease through a comprehensive and community based approach. They currently provide services in twelve countries including the United States.
The Arc of Massachusetts and its partners the Charles River Center and EMARC represent over 180,000 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They provide residential support, recreation, job training and placement, respite care and family support.
The Merrimack Valley Food Bank provides food and personal care items to food banks, soup kitchens, day and residential programs serving the low income, homeless and hungry.
The Katydid Foundation provides services for adults with autism. Many states do not offer services for adults over 22 with autism. The Katydid Foundation rehabilitates homes to accommodate more independent units for residents. They also counsel and coach the parents of adult autistic children.
Located in Haverhill, Emmaus provides housing and service to homeless individuals or families. They also develop affordable housing for low income families.
The Yankee Clipper Council of the Boy Scouts of America serves children and young adults in 52 communities in Northeastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Through their programs, they prepare more than 8,000 young people make ethical and moral choices.
For over 26 years, the St. Francis House of Boston has been providing nutritious meals, clothing, access to medical care, counseling, vocational rehabilitation and housing to homeless men and women.
Walk Boston is dedicated to improving walking conditions in the cities and towns around Massachusetts.  They are the first organization in America dedicated to making communities safer and more walkable for pedestrians.
The mission of headinghome: Ending Homelessness for Good is to end homelessness in greater Boston by providing affordable permanent housing in conjunction with effective support services to help change the conditions that support homelessness.
The New England Learning Center for Women in Transition offer safe homes along with safety planning, advocacy and support to women and children who have survived domestic violence or sexual abuse. They also provide prevention education particularly to area young people.
