The mission of the Prevent Cancer Foundation is to advocate and support the prevention and early detection of cancer through research, education and community outreach to all populations, including children and the underserved.  Founded in 1985 as Cancer Research and Prevention, they have provided more than $120 million towards this mission.

The American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association is dedicated to the eradication of autoimmune diseases and the alleviation of suffering and the socioeconomic impact of autoimmunity. AARDA is the only national nonprofit health agency dedicated to bringing a national focus to autoimmunity, the major cause of serious chronic disease.
One in three adults in the District of Columbia is functionally illiterate. Of the 50 states and D.C., D.C. ranks last in standardized test scores. Teach for America is working to change that and to ensure that children in D.C. get an excellent education.
