PRLog - Oct. 11, 2011 - BURBANK, Calif. -- New Wave Entertainment has produced their first 3D production with “INDY 500: THE INSIDE LINE.” The one-hour special celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the INDY 500, premieres Thursday, October 13 at 9pm ET/PT on 3net, the 3D network from Sony, Discovery, and IMAX. 3net is available on DIRECT TV channel 107.

In the world‘s first 3D coverage of the event, “INDY 500: THE INSIDE LINE” begins with a comprehensive look at the spectacle of the Indianapolis 500, starting with a look back at the history of the greatest spectacle in racing, including 3D coverage of pre-race fanfare, Pole Day, Bump Day and Carb Day.
During the race, the action is shown from the unique point of view of featured drivers, with 3D cameras in the pits and around the crews supporting the Castroneves, Kanaan and Hinchcliffe teams as they monitor the race, strategize pit stops and advise their drivers. There will be additional 3D cameras featured on-car and on-track, giving the audience the most comprehensive 3D experience possible.
"INDY 500: THE INSIDE LINE" is produced by New Wave Entertainment. The program is Executive Produced by Sarah Nettinga, INDYCAR Entertainment and Mike Meadows of New Wave Entertainment. Tim Pastore, 3net‘s Vice President of Development and Production, served as the network‘s Executive Producer.
A complete in-house production, New Wave provided all production services from inception to delivery including the 3D graphic creation of the main title sequence and broadcast design package, all post services, and music supervision.
