With the IRS, banks and secured creditors all involved, the actual recovery of the dollars invested became paramount to all committed to this machine shop enterprise.

Oct. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- After months of trying to liquidate the equipment from the closed Rochester, NY CNC machine shop, Worley’s Auctionwaves online-only industrial commercial machinery auctioneers was contacted to sell off the remaining assets.

A detailed list of left over assets, valued by a 3rd party appraiser for less than $40,000.00, was converted to just over $100,000.00 cash that more than satisfied all of the creditors involved.

Each piece of equipment was cleaned, organized and pictured and described and posted on the auctioneer’s site in an ebay style auction format set up for bidding on each piece of equipment  individually.

Bryan Worley, CAGA, and licensed auctioneer for the firm, stated that over 60,000 of his bidders were contacted with more than 8500 of those participating, in the end, there were just over 100 different buyers winning the 550 items.

Afterwards, the owner of Emory Machine, was quoted as saying “ I should have taken all of my equipment and machinery straight to Worley’s,  I would have gotten more money overall without all of the stress and time I wasted, I was in the machining business NOT in the machinery equipment business.”

With some items selling as low as $20.00 and as high as $10,000.00 the true value of the assets were maximized for all of the parties involved. Highlights of the auction included an older MAKINO HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER for $9775.00, HAAS VF-2 CNC VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER sold for $9,250.00, an older HARDINGE DSM LATHE sold for $2,500.00, additionally much of the smaller precision instruments that the 3rd party “certified” appraiser assigned less than $5,000.00 to, were sold for over $27,000.00 in their totatality.
