Donahue, to its practice.
By: Kathleen Caputi “Sally Donahue is ranked among the top echelon of Trusts & Estates litigators,” As a Court Attorney-Referee, Sally presided over non-jury hearings; rendered rulings at depositions, conferenced cases; mediated cases to settlement, assisted the Surrogate at trial and prepared decisions and orders, stipulations, trial memoranda and jury instructions. Sally will be concentrating her practice at Meltzer Lippe on Trusts and Estates litigation as well as accounting proceedings and Guardianships. For more than a dozen years prior to her tenure at the Court, Sally was an associate and then counsel at Farrell Fritz, P.C., where she concentrated her practice in Trusts & Estates, Guardianships and Commercial Litigation. Sally is a former Law Clerk to a federal Judge and a magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of New York. Sally graduated magna cum laude from Touro Law School, which she attended on a full three-year academic scholarship. A Dean’s List scholar throughout the course of her studies, Sally also won five American Jurisprudence Awards and First Place in the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers’ Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition. She was also a Notes and Comments Editor of the Touro Law Review. From 1991 through 1996, Sally taught Legal Ethics as part of Adelphi University’s Lawyers’ Assistance Program.
