Oct. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- CHICAGO – Nextpoint, Inc., the nation’s leading provider of cloud-based regulatory, compliance and litigation software, announces the release of “S3 Folders” as a powerful alternative to browser-based data transmission into Discovery Cloud and Trial Cloud applications. The latest import capabilities leverage Amazon’s S3 cloud architecture and effectively remove file size limitations, allowing Nextpoint customers to upload large files (i.e., .pst mailboxes) without the need to split them into smaller data sets.

Amazon S3 is a simple storage service that offers software developers a highly scalable, reliable, and low-latency data storage infrastructure at very low cost. Nextpoint now leverages the growing base of client applications and S3 API's for moving data to its cloud platform. Following upload to Amazon S3 (http://aws.amazon.com/s3/), files may be selected for direct import to Nextpoint Discovery Cloud or Trial Cloud via a simple batch creation screen file-picker.

Load file formats traditionally supported in browser uploads continue to be supported via both browser upload and S3 Folder selection. Additionally, S3 Folders support the selection of loose files or directories containing loose files, making the upload process much simpler and less time consuming. Uploaded directory structures containing load files enjoy the extra benefit of easy correction and drop-in replacement of load files when issues are realized and remedied.

“Getting large volumes of electronic data into relevance review or trial prep applications has traditionally been a source of pain for many organizations–consuming both time and resources,” stated Nextpoint VP of Research & Development Ben Wolf. “By taking advantage of Amazon S3 and the growing list of client applications and available API's, we have streamlined this front-end process for our customers, inevitably saving them time and money and getting them to the ‘real work’ faster.”
