Award-Winning Actor & Grammy-Nominated Singer of 90’s R&B Group Brownstone honored in Atlanta

Oct. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- In a follow-up to last month’s tastemakers in fashion, entertainment and beauty, October’s theme for the LuXe LifeStyle series has another star-studded line-up as honorees.  Led by Renee Knorr, Fashion & Beauty Director of The 19th Hole Magazine and Andre Hill of AH Entertainment, LuXe Lifestyle will honor award-winning actor Michael Beasley; Friday Girl TV Host & Chief Creative Officer October Rose; International Fashion Designer Vanessa Vinci; Beauty Maven Niemah Nefertiti; Singer/Writer/Producer/Director Nicci Gilbert; and Author & Humanitarian Linda Cox of One Hundred Days nonprofit organization on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 beginning at 8pm. “We are honored to salute world changing leaders who make a difference in the communities they reside, work and inspire in,” shares Renee Knorr of LuXe LifeStyle.

Award-winning actor, Michael Beasley, is considered "The Top ‘Working Actor’ in Hollywood South." In 2011, Michael has already had supporting roles in nine feature films, a guest-starring role in a hit TV show and a recurring role on Starz’s new TV show, “Magic City.” Michael has thirteen feature films premiering in 2011-2012. The films are “The Bay” which is directed by Barry Levinson, “Flight,” “Papa,” “Arthur Newman, Golf Pro,” “The Change-Up,” “Unconditional,” “Contraband,”  “Journey 2 : The Mysterious Island,” “American Reunion,” “The Odd Life of Timothy Green,” “Hero,” “Mystic Rising,” and “Mardi Gras : Spring Break.” In 2010, several of Michael’s films premiered in theaters, including  “I Love You Phillip Morris,” “Mississippi Damned,” “American Violet,” “Preacher's Kid,” and “Road Trip 2 : Beer Pong.” Beasley has also been a regular in Tyler Perry’s hit sitcom, “Meet the Browns” as the “Bailiff”.

Nicci Gilbert is a writer/director/producer and fifteen year entertainment industry veteran. As the lead singer/songwriter for R&B group, Brownstone, Nicci was nominated for a Grammy Award and has sold over 2 million records worldwide. Nicci has guest starred on hit TV shows such as “Martin”, “Living Single” and “Sister Sister” and films such as “Living Out Loud” with Queen Latifah and “Woo” starring Jada Pinkett. While Starring in Tyler Perry’s hit play “Meet the Browns”, Nicci decided to pursue a career as a playwright and producer. Nicci Gilbert has since written, produced and directed hit stage plays such as “Sweet Potato Pie” starring Boris Kodjoe, Sherman Hemsley and Ginuwine; “Soul Kittens Cabaret” starring Fantasia Barrino, Faith Evans, Angie Stone, Tatyana Ali, Monifah, and Trenyce from American Idol and has written and directed a short film “Rubes Café” starring Fantasia Barrino and Terri J Vaughn. In addition, Nicci is about to embark on a new endeavor, playing Maxee Ballard in “Florence Ballard” story starring Faith Evans.
