THE EBA COLLABORATES WITH TEENBIZ TO GROW THE NEW GENERATION OF ENTREPRENEURS

TEENBIZ - THE UK’s FIRST BUSINESS START UP SCHEME FOR
UNDER 18s

11th October 2011 - The Entrepreneurs’ Business Academy, (The EBA), a joint venture between Millionaires Mentor’, Bev James and James Caan, has given its  support to TeenBiz, the UK’s first business start up scheme for under 18s which is launching next month founded by TV’s The Apprentice finalist, Claire Young, to grow a new generation of entrepreneurs.

The innovative TeenBiz scheme will enable one student per month to receive up to £500 funding, a business mentor and a start up pack, and aims to start 100 new businesses for under 18s over the next three years. Says Bev James: “The EBA is delighted to support TeenBiz with sponsorship and expertise - I believe we have a responsibility to pass on our knowledge, encouragement, support and mentor advice to the next generation. They have great passion, instincts and a myriad of skills, but need to be safeguarded as well. With Claire at the helm, I’m sure TeenBiz will be a great success.”

The launch of Teen Biz reflects a growing trend for more people than even before starting up their own business straight from school or college, and more than half of 14-19 year olds expressing a preference to be their own boss, especially at a time when the recession has hit the Y Generation, (those born between 1980 and 1994), particularly hard.

Adds Claire Young: “The EBA is a perfect supporter of TeenBiz with a wealth of expertise, experience and enthusiasm for our budding entrepreneurs. While this generation may have better online and social media skills than many established entrepreneurs, they also need ‘real world’ experience and the support of ‘safe hands’ to maximise their potential.”
