Akshaya Patra launches its first radio outreach programme in Ahmedabad

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 10, 2011 - The first radio outreach programme of The Akshaya Patra Foundation will be launched on All India Radio, Vivid Bharathi 96.7 in Ahmedabad.

The series of radio programme is a part of a broad outreach campaign initiated by the Foundation to inform the general public about the journey of Akshaya Patra, which runs the world’s largest mid –day meal programme in partnership with the Central and state governments. The Foundation currently feeds 1.3 million children in 8 states across India.

The series in Hindi which is being broadcast only on AIR FM Rainbow is titled “ SAFARNAMA”. It is divided into 10 episodes and uses a story format interspersed with sensitive film music to narrate the story of Akshaya Patra. The programme will be broadcast starting from October 3 to 14 (Mon-Friday) for 15 minute duration each at 6:30 to 6 :45 pm.
