Follow on Google News | CWID Results Report TNMA 2.0 Meets All SDRsTNMA 2.0, demonstrated by FedTechServices, Inc. (FTS) has met all its Sponsor Defined Requirements (SDRs) for the two categories it was entered in, Interoperability and Warfighter.
By: FedTechServices CWID is a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff-directed annual event that engages cutting-edge information technology, focusing on operational shortfalls identified by combatant commanders and government agencies. The demonstrations focused on technology discovery, risk reduction, and coalition interoperability. Technologies were assessed using real-world inspired warfighter, Homeland Security/Homeland Defense and emergency responder scenarios. FTS demonstrated at four locations this year: USAF Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts, SSC Pacific San Diego in California, DHS Herndon in Virginia and USJFCOM Suffolk in Virginia. FTS demonstrated TNMA 2.0, the newest version of TNMA, designed by FTS in 2010. TNMA 2.0 is a robust, deployable network management architecture designed to help the warfighter better manage and monitor the performance and security of communication networks. TNMA 2.0 also utilizes commercial, of-the-shelf (COTS) tools, which reduces its cost, and also allows it to be expanded to monitor any network. The CWID Report concluded that “TNMA 2.0 provided flexibility and allowed warfighters to control the network’s efficiency and operability,” TNMA 2.0 was judged on two SDRs under Interoperability, and four under Warfighter. During the demonstration, TNMA 2.0 successfully monitored the network events via SNMP traps and Syslog messages under Interoperability. Under the Warfighter category, TNMA 2.0 successfully provided: comprehensive network monitoring to promote situational awareness, streamlined time-saving display of network information for the warfighter using a single sign-on portal, integration points with other monitoring tools accessible to the warfighter, and methods to automate routine monitoring tasks at specific intervals. One warfighter commented that TNMA 2.0 “is a mature technology and I think it would benefit network control centers at all tiers in managing and monitoring networks.” Another warfighter stated “I believe it packages a lot of capability that can make the job easier for system administrators, very beneficial.” # # # FedTechServices, INC (FTS) is a minority woman- owned small business enterprise recognized for deploying "best of breed" network architecture solutions for the U.S. Military.
