Oct. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Tulsa, Okla.― The Tulsa Chapter of Oklahoma Business Ethics Consortium (OK Ethics) will host keynote speaker Steve Ford, son of former President Gerald and First Lady Betty Ford, on Thursday, October 27, 2011.

During this presentation, Steve Ford will share the tools of his own success and those of his parents, former President Gerald & First Lady Betty Ford.  Steve's unique perspective of life as the President's son encompasses a broad range of fascinating subjects including his father's leadership in pardoning Richard Nixon and his mother's bouts with alcoholism and breast cancer.

Steve's presentation will focus on concepts such as forgiveness, mercy and grace as they relate to real-life issues in leadership, overcoming adversity, and family values.  He also walks attendees through the early habits he formed during his middle school, high school, and college years that led to his own addiction to alcohol.  He speaks openly of the high price that's paid for bad choices and shares tools that lead to a life lived with personal integrity and boundaries.

Within each of Ford's stories is an insider's view of life in the public eye, featuring many historic and never-before-seen photos, slides, and videos.  Described as a cross between The History Channel and The Book of Virtues, Ford continually focuses on the importance of character, integrity and right choices.  His one-of-a-kind presentation inspires people to be open to change and transformation and addresses aspects of the person as a whole, including both career and family roles.

"Just last month in Oklahoma City, Steve Ford spoke to a sold out crowd of 350 OK Ethics members and guests at the Petroleum Club,” said Michael Oonk, president of the Tulsa chapter of OK Ethics.  “Attendees were spellbound by his inside the White House presentation. Due to the enormous success of his keynote address at the Oklahoma City Chapter’s OK Ethics meeting, we are extremely excited about hosting Steve Ford in Tulsa,” stated Oonk.

The luncheon will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel downtown, 616 W. Seventh St., from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  The cost for the lunch program is $25 for OK Ethics members (except prepaid) and $35 for non-members. Guests are welcome and encouraged to attend, though reservations are required. Register online at www.okethics.org no later than Monday, October 24.

Free parking is available in the covered parkade adjacent to the hotel. OK Ethics is pleased to highlight its return to hosting programs in downtown Tulsa. For additional questions about the program, or event registration, please contact Michael Oonk at (918) 481-3822 or mpo@americanbanktulsa.com.
