Oct. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Austin, TX- October 7, 2011- Davis & Wilkerson attorney Fletcher Brown, a recognized expert in the field of health law, will share some of that expertise in a panel discussion at the Texas Health Law Conference on Sunday October 9, 2011.

The session, which will be held at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center in Austin, TX from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., is entitled “Hospital-Physician Relationships: A to Z.” For more information about other sessions or information on how to attend, visit: http://www.tha.org/HealthCareProviders/Education/ConferencesfortheCS097F/C0BCTexasHealthLawC08B8/index.asp

“The session will be a primer for anyone interested in the field,” said Brown. “At the same time, I anticipate we will have a lively discussion that goes a little deeper on some of the issues, providing insight that might prove beneficial to more seasoned health law attorneys.”

Specifically, the talk will provide crucial information and a general overview of the various relationships physicians have with hospitals, and the laws and regulations that govern those relationships. Brown and the other panelists will discuss the basics of credentialing and medical staff membership, typical contractual relationships, and more complex legal relationships between physicians and hospitals.

Brown added that he was “honored to be a participant in this prestigious conference. Given the credentials of the people who will be serving on the panel with me as well as the other sessions that are being presented, it is little wonder that the prestigious Health Law section of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Hospital Association are co-sponsors of this event.”

Brown has consistently been recognized by Chambers USA as a leader in Texas health law.  In addition to this honor, he has been named a “Super Lawyer” in the Health Law Field by Texas Monthly and Law & Politics magazine for the past six years.
