Demestre began his career in the window coverings industry as a sales representative for VIMCO in 1981. Working his way through the ranks to National Sales Manager, then vice president of sales and ultimately as the president/owner of the company. He subsequently served as the president and CEO of G&G Sales and marketing, a consulting firm specializing in the launch of new products in the window treatment industry; G&G Window Coverings Inc., a distribution company for non-solar screen fabrics and unique window covering products. In 2005 he joined Alkenz USA as president and CEO, overseeing day-to-day operations and business development in the U.S.
