Oct. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Dr. Joel M. Fisher, founder of the LAWine Fest, announces the 2nd Annual Santa Clarita Wine Fest will return March 3, 2012 to a new location--The Bridgeport Marketplace.  With over 125 wineries represented and over 350 wines, beers and spirits being poured, the LAWine Fest is set to be the most attended event of its kind in the area and for a good cause.  The 2012 SCV Wine Fest will benefit the Michael Hoefflin Foundation, which offers hope, help and healing for Children's Cancer.

"We listened to last year's feedback," Dr. Fisher smiled gently as he continued, "We wanted to find a more central space with plenty of parking and near good dining establishments to accommodate all of our attendees.  I'm confident The Bridgeport Marketplace is a great spot for us. We are also proud to lend our support to the Michael Hoefflin Foundation.  It's important to help community efforts and the Hoefflin Foundation works to bring comfort and hope to families of children diagnosed with cancer in the Santa Clarita and surrounding valleys."

Additionally, prime sponsors have already lent their support.  A1 Rentals and Intertex Properties have come on board with generous contributions.  Dr. Fisher remarked "It's great to have their support so early in.  It's a testament that not only do they support their community, but they believe we are a great help to their community as well.  We're proud of the partnership."

Winefest will need every inch of the new space as more booths and wineries have confirmed than last year.  Brew, sake and varietals of many popular wines will fill the aisles.  Live music will be performed, creating a friendly and sophisticated ambience.  In addition, like each of Dr. Fisher's Wine Fests, there will be classes and panels throughout the day that will be led by renowned wine, sake and scotch masters.  The festival will close with a VIP party offering a select group of wines, hand-chosen by Fisher himself, to be expertly paired with tapas.

The 2012 Santa Clarita WineFest Committee includes: President Dr. Joel M. Fisher; COO Mark Newman; Event Manager Logistics, Scherr Lillico; Festival Sommelier Denise Lowe; Culinary Coordinator, David Binkle;  Director of Community Affairs, Brandon Drake;  Media, Sponsorship and Social Media Marketing: Joe Wehinger,  Volunteer Coordinator, Caren Robblee,  Associate, Muris Mulalic; Graphic Designer, Cheryl Gaskill Webmaster, John Clifford.
