"Be Involved" – as the socially responsible promotional campaign is named – is scheduled to take place November 7, 2011 beginning at 6:00pm at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston, MA (Faneuil Hall).
The event, which is also dubbed "Rebels with a cause", is being hosted for the Souza Elder Fund. Further event information about the event and its sponsor can be accessed online at: http://involved.babyrebelclothing.com/
The "Be Involved" event has a double purpose: one is to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease and homecare.
"Secondly, we'll be selling our baby clothes at a booth and donating 50 per cent of our profits to the charity," said the Baby Rebel Clothing, Inc, founder Peter Vuong. Even though their market is children's apparel, their view on the issue is "even baby rebels have grandparents"
The Baby Rebel Clothing, Inc.-sponsored "Be Involved" fundraiser, according to Kanchanny Thlang is a different sort of fundraiser, since they are using fashion to raise money. "Most importantly, it's for a good cause. Even in a bad economy, a small business start-up like ours can get together with a charity to do something worthwhile and philanthropic,"
"Be Involved" fundraiser was designed to be a night of fun, fashion, and fund raising for the Souza Elder Fund, targeting elders who are diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer.
"All proceeds from the door will also go to the Souza Elder Fund. And for every Baby Rebel Clothing product sold, we will donate 50% of our profits to the Souza Elder Fund," said Peter, who started the ‘Be-Involved' movement to encourage people to be more aware and philanthropic.
"We want to help other charities in their cause by hosting events and we want people to come to these events, so when we heard about the Souza Elder Fund, we decided to get on board to add our little support," said Baby Rebel Clothing, Inc.'s Vice President of Marketing, Kanchanny Thlang, who has relatives battling Alzheimer's disease, and she fully understands the hardships of the disease and the cost home care.
