Oct. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- "We are thrilled to partner with AIIM Grand Canyon Chapter to provide a quality educational program.  FCS believes that providing education to those in the information management, governance and legal communities is one of the most important things we can do to give back to our community. The Chapter was looking for an expert in the field of electronically stored information, and Mark is considered one of the nation's foremost authorities in ESI and workflows.  It is going to be a great program and one that those in the community won't want to miss to be sure.  The cost of attending is very nominal and the chapter provides a great forum for this process.”  Robin Thompson, Director of Marketing, Forensics Consulting Solutions.

e-Discovery- You Have Been Notified of a Discovery Order. Now What?

Event Description:
Litigation is not isolated to one corporation or one instance within a corporation. Discovery is not when, but how often. It is a cost of doing business these days that can drastically alter an organization's sense of security and touch every area of the firm. The costs are astronomical in review and preparation alone. Not to mention, the process can be confusing with chain of custody questions, the multitude of vendors involved, and the abundance of technologies concerned. This often results in unpredictable costs and legal headaches. How can you manage discovery in an effective and defensible way to avoid all these discovery woes?

Topics We Will Explore:

1.   Designing and managing eDiscovery projects
2.   Evolving thoughts and eDiscovery project management
3.   Variations in project lifecycles
4.   Pre-project planning and infrastructure
5.   Project design
6.   ESI Technologies and how to choose the right one for your project
7.   Project execution and dealing with pitfalls

Join us November 2nd, as renowned discovery expert Mark Walker shares his expansive real life experience on how to manage complex litigation projects and avoid the pitfalls of discovery. This presentation focuses on the processes after a company is notified of litigation and the steps to take for a successful outcome.
