SNW 2011: NovaStor to Present Innovations in Enterprise and Cloud Backup

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 5, 2011 - At Storage Networking World 2011 (SNW) in Frankfurt on November 2-3, 2011, data protection specialist NovaStor will present new enterprise and cloud backup software solutions at booth #86. NovaStor’s exhibition program will focus on technological approaches for the protection of large distributed IT-environments, protection of virtual environments and providing data backup as a managed service in a public or private cloud.


Latest Developments for Cloud and Virtual Environments

NovaBACKUP DataCenter offers fault-tolerant enterprise backup for high data availability. The distributed software architecture eliminates a central database, thus ridding bottlenecks and central point-of-failures. NovaStor’s approach to handling meta-data increases the stability of data backup processes, allows for speedy data transfers, minimizes backup windows and enables limitless scalability.

At SNW 2011, NovaStor will present its new media management tool to support powerful multi-tier storage architectures as well as dynamic resource sharing for private cloud environments. A new enterprise bare metal recovery function supports staging models for disaster recovery images and for flexible reconstruction of physical machines as virtual machines and vice versa.

From Cloud Backup to Managed Backup Services

NovaStor will also present its public cloud backup platform, NovaBACKUP xSP and its private cloud backup platform, NovaBACKUP Remote Workforce.  NovaStor’s cloud backup platforms enable the protection of any number of workstations, servers and virtual machines in a public or private cloud. Data protection processes can be implemented and managed via the workstation, the server itself, or from a central management screen. Features including encryption, password protection and FastBIT technology ensure safe, fast, and low-bandwidth data transmissions via an Intra- or Internet connection. In addition, both platforms are equipped with new features for managing any number of distributed installations from a Central Management Console.
