PRONicaragua participates in the 2011 EXPOAPEN Fair

Oct. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- PRONicaragua, the official investment promotion agency of Nicaragua, participated in the eleventh edition of EXPOAPEN, held at the Crowne Plaza Convention Center in Managua on September 23rd and 24th. The fair is one of Nicaragua’s main trade events, which highlights the diversity and quality of the country's export products, as well as the main investment opportunities.

The fair showcased the array of exportable goods presented by approximately 240 national companies from the agricultural, textile and apparel, handicrafts, manufacturing and service sectors, and included a series of parallel activities, including conferences, specialized lectures, and exhibitions.

Over 50 international buyers from Central America, Europe and the United States participated in the event, which organizers expect will yield between US$18 and US$20 million in intent of purchase.

In turn, PRONicaragua delivered a presentation that highlighted Nicaragua’s main competitive advantages and the country’s investment opportunities. The event was key for establishing contact with a series of international businessmen interested in doing business in Nicaragua.

EXPOAPEN is organized by the Nicaraguan Producers and Exporters Association (APEN, for its acronym in Spanish), the leading organization in supporting the competitiveness and internationalization of the productive exporting sector of Nicaragua. During its 11 editions, EXPOAPEN has become a platform that allows participating companies to promote their products, while offering bilateral meetings that facilitate business contacts.
