A group of Catholic priests are members of The Sacred Order of Saint Michael the Archangel, a traditional old roman catholic order. This is a Catholic jurisdiction that was established in 1980, because of the increasing requests for exorcism and lack of clergy who are trained or willing to perform the ritual for exorcism.
The members of the Order are clergy, religious and laity; seminarians, priests, and bishops from many jurisdictions. The Order receives call from around the world.
"The requests for exorcism are on the rise" says Archbishop Ron Feyl, OSM who is the Presiding Archbishop of the Order and Chief Exorcist for three Catholic jurisdictions.
"We get calls from across the country and sometimes around the world".
Archbishop Feyl says he cannot handle the number of requests without the help of other jurisdictions that would be willing to band together in this battle of good versus evil.
The Order has been attempting to recruit members of the clergy from any jurisdiction, from any city, state and country, to join the fight of good versus evil as an Exorcist. Members who have joined the Order will receive referrals which will be directed to their bishops.
