Former Peninsula Rehab Center patients reunite with therapists, nurses and physicians

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 6, 2011 - (DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.) – Nearly 200 former Florida Hospital Oceanside Peninsula Rehabilitation Center (PRC) inpatient rehabilitation patients gathered on Friday, September 23 to reunite with physical therapists, nurses, physicians and friends who helped them get back to living their normal lives.

The former patients shared often times emotional rehab stories and personal experiences with their therapy staff and gave updates on how they were doing. Each year, patients are invited back to share their stories of recovery and how PRC’s mission of hope, health and healing brought them back to the independence they enjoy today.

One such patient who shared his testimonial with the nearly 400 guests was Wesley Yowell.

“At 52, the thought of having a stroke that would turn my life upside down was unimaginable,” Yowell said. “It can be hard to ask for help, but it is good to ask for help when you need it. I’m so glad that Peninsula Rehabilitation Center has the right people to help when you need it.”

The event was held at the Daytona Beach Resort, 2700 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach.
