ASSIST and TUV Rheinland launch training on ISMS and PCI DSS for SHIFT Indonesia Project

Under the DEG-funded SHielding Income and Financial Transactions (SHIFT) Indonesia project, the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST) launched a Technical Training on ISMS and PCI DSS in Bandung, Indonesia.

Oct. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Under the DEG-funded SHielding Income and Financial Transactions (SHIFT) Indonesia project, the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST) helped launch the third batch of Technical Training on Information Security Management System (ISMS) and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) in Bandung, Indonesia last September 27 to 29, 2011.

Led by ASSIST Technical Consultant Raja Kumar, the training equipped participants with technical knowledge of the standards, including implementation requirements for ISMS and PCI DSS.

The activity was participated in by representatives of the seven (7) subsidiaries of the PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk, a state-owned enterprise (“SOE”) and the largest telecommunication and network services provider in Indonesia.

Serving millions of customers nationwide, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia provides a strong portfolio of information and communication services, including fixed wireline and fixed wireless telephone, mobile cellular, data and internet, and network and interconnection services.

After the training, the companies will undergo audits and eventual certification for ISMS from TUV Rheinland Indonesia.
