Bryan Cave LLP Announces Leadership Succession in Phoenix

Jay Zweig has been appointed managing partner of Bryan Cave’s Phoenix office, effective October 1, 2011. He succeeds Lawrence Scarborough, who was elected to the firm’s Executive Committee.
 
Oct. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- Jay Zweig has been appointed managing partner of Bryan Cave’s Phoenix office, effective October 1, 2011.  He succeeds Lawrence Scarborough, who was elected to the firm’s Executive Committee.  Scarborough has served as managing partner of the Phoenix office since 2006.

Scarborough, who has been a partner with the firm since 2000, has litigated and tried as lead counsel numerous matters on behalf of a variety of Fortune 500 clients, involving cases ranging from class action claims against insurance and financial institutions to international antitrust, patent, copyright, trade secret, trademark and unfair competition claims in the broad-based computer, communications, healthcare and defense industries. In addition to his new role on the firm’s Executive Committee, Scarborough will continue as a member of the Bryan Cave’s Strategic Growth Team focused on expansion of the firm’s depth and reach in order to serve the needs of its national and international clients.  Scarborough received his J.D. from New York University and his B.A. from Stanford University.

Zweig has been a partner with Bryan Cave since 2007, and concentrates his practice in employment law and related commercial litigation.  With more than 25 years experience, he represents employers in matters related to human resources, preventing and defending lawsuits related to contracts and non-compete agreements, sexual harassment, discrimination, wage and hour law, OSHA, and workers’ comp bad faith issues.  He has been lead counsel in federal and state court trials for clients that range from start-up ventures and professional services firms to Fortune 100 companies.  Zweig received his J.D. from The University of Texas and his B.S. from Northwestern University.
