HAYFEVER SPECIALIST POSITIONS ITS OVER THE COUNTER NASAL SPRAY AS AN ALL YEAR ROUND PROTECTION
MEDA Pharmaceuticals is positioning its successful new OTC nasal spray as an all-year-round protection for allergic rhinitis sufferers.
The company launched Rhinolast Allergy at the start of the hayfever season. The tiny new 5ml nasal spray costs £3.99 and is available from independent pharmacies and online from www.chemist.net.
A spokesman for Meda Pharmaceuticals said: ‘Rhinolast Allergy is more than just a hayfever treatment. Our customers are using it all year round to treat allergic rhinitis triggered by everything from pet allergies to dust allergies. They like the fact that they only need one product for all year round protection.’
Rhinolast Allergy starts working faster than many other anti-allergic therapies, relieving symptoms just 10-15 minutes after application. Unlike other treatments, it is effective even after the symptoms have appeared, avoiding the need to plan ahead of an expected allergen exposure.
It is a non-steroid treatment and contains the active ingredient azelastine which is more than just a simple anti-histamine. It is the only anti-histamine with a triple mode of action, thus treating the disease and not just the symptoms.
Rhinolast Allergy targets the symptoms of red, swollen and itchy eyes, runny nose and sneezing within minutes and can even be used by children from the age of five for up to four weeks without a doctor’s intervention.
