House-Dance-Techno music lovers across the globe are waiting for the hypnotic release by one of Chicago’s hidden musical treasures Dungeon Muzik.


Chicago, IL, For Immediate Release - Dungeon Muzik, of Lincs Records, is proud to announce the release of its first worldwide EP entitled ‘School’s In Session’ on Wednesday, October 5, 2011.  Dungeon Muzik is a coalition of diversely talented djs/artists/producers from Chicago’s house music scene.  Even though members of Dungeon Muzik lead separate lives, they managed to collaborate and do what they all love, create a house-style, dance/techno, high-energy driven album.
Matt (Zilla) Gregory formed Dungeon Muzik as a group of artists from Lincs Records in April of 2011.  He is the lead visionary of Dungeon Muzik’s first collaborative album.  Zilla is a founding member and vice president of Lincs Records.  After many years in the house music DJ circuit, Zilla was looking to create a subterranean sound that would move house music to a new level.  “House-electronic-techno-dance music is in my soul.  “I wanted to create a record that captured the essence of these genres and had heart-pounding energy,” Zilla said.  Zilla has had the pleasure of working with key players on the house music scene such as Jozana Sithole - Groove Temple single (I remember), Charles Matlock (Isms) and several engineering projects with Glenn Underground.


To help devise the viciously energetic sound and predilection of Dungeon Muzik, Zilla recruited both veteran and rookie djs/artists/producers from Chicago’s house music scene.  From the number of djs who submitted their music, he handpicked three to bring to life this one-of-a-kind sound.  With the creation of the track “I Jack You”, DJ Snooze, Missing Link, and Zilla managed to forge a unique sound that many house music lovers have come to appreciate.  DJ Snooze’s drum track intertwines elements of surprise and Matt Zilla’s funky bass line and synth add to Missing Links soaring vocals.  The “Addiction” track, Missing Link and Matt Zilla blend driving, beat-laden, melodic House sounds that is reminiscent of the late 80’s.  Last but not least, is Dizzle the rookie, who adds a futuristic and fictional theme to the EP with her own contribution of “Aladdin’s Robotic Spaceship.”


DJ Snooze, Missing Link, and Dizzle each bring an intriguing combination and style to Dungeon Muzik.  DJ Snooze’s “four on the floor” rhythmical beats are becoming a popular underground sound, and Missing Link’s vocals, hones the high-energy, communal feeling listeners enjoy. Dizzle’s signature sound highlights smooth Techno wizardry geared to satisfy even the most discerning listeners. Mix in Matt Zilla’s unconventional basslines, and you get an audacious album.
