Oct. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- The Christensen Law Firm School Supplies Gift Program, a program sponsored by the Utah based Christensen Law Firm, PLLC, is pleased to announce that Ms. Stephanie Broderick, a Kindergarten teacher at Windsor Elementary School is the recipient of the Golden Apple Award this week.

Ms. Broderick loves her job as a teacher and it shows in the successes she has had in the classroom. She says that she loves to see her children learn new things and is so impressed by their desire to discover and understand everything around them. She feels a sense of accomplishment when her students smile upon realizing the excellent work they have done. Her goal is to instill in kids a love and passion for learning that will be carried on with them throughout their lives, even after they have left her classroom at the end of the year.

Ms. Broderick teaches students to read on a daily basis and one of the most rewarding experiences she has had was teaching one particular student to read. This student was the very first reader in his family as both his parents and grandparents are illiterate. His parents expressed their gratitude and excitement as they shed tears of joy, knowing that their second-grader will now change the future of their family. Ms. Broderick spends upwards of $400 a year on supplies to help enhance the learning environment in her classroom and she will use this award to help purchase some much needed basic supplies, as well as rewards to keep her students motivated.

The Christensen Law Firm started the Christensen Law Firm School Supplies Gift Program to help public school teachers get extra classroom supplies without having to spend their own money. Each week the program gives the Golden Apple Award, which is a $100 gift card each week to a deserving Utah Public school teacher and his/her class. Anyone can nominate a teacher for this program, teachers, students, parents and administrators.
