During his 25 years in the travel industry, Oliver developed particular expertise working with convention and visitor bureaus as Vice President of Sales and Supplier Partner Relations for the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA).
Oliver will be responsible for growing Travel Spike’s meeting and convention business plus developing new business strategies and co-op programs that leverage his expertise. In that respect, John will work closely with destinations to feature them with Travel Spike's Travel Ad Network® service.

In addition to his 17 year tenure at PCMA, Oliver’s career includes a strategic leadership position at Meeting Professionals International (MPI), where he served as Director of Advertising Sales. He also honed his skills and held various successful sales management positions for ConferenceDirect, Red 7 Media, the Greater Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau and American Exposition Services. While at PCMA, he was part of the team that launched Convene Magazine, the highly regarded, popular association publication. Travel Spike is a communication partner and digital agency of record for PCMA and John will also work on that key account.
