Integrative Therapeutics is Making a Difference Around the World with Product Donations

Oct. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Integrative Therapeutics continues to support its mission of improving the health of people worldwide with a generous donation to Friends of Paraplegia, http://www.friendsofparaplegia.org/index.htm, a non-profit organization that supports individuals who are paraplegic in Tanzania, Africa.

Integrative Therapeutics became involved with this worthwhile cause when Dr. Cheryl Sly, a naturopathic doctor from Phoenix, Arizona, who uses Integrative Therapeutics products in her daily practice, came to them with a donation request. She and her husband, Darol Kubacz, would be traveling to Africa to help the individuals supported by Friends Of Paraplegia, and were seeking natural health products to supplement their health.

Friends Of Paraplegia assists individuals with spinal cord injuries in a number of ways, like building handicap-accessible bathrooms and providing them with wheelchairs. Living with a disability is difficult anywhere, and being disabled in a third-world country makes things even more complex. Dr. Sly and Darol, also a paraplegic, traveled to Tanzania with the full intent of assisting these individuals so in need of help.

According to Dr. Sly, “When we went to see these injured men in the greatest need – who were literally on death’s door, I felt helpless.  They live out in the jungle with very little to survive on. We cleaned their wounds with no running water available. We gave them top-of-the-line seat cushions, catheters, wound care kits and the nutritional supplements from Integrative Therapeutics.  We said we would return in one week.  I left crying, thinking we were leaving them to die.  When we returned one week later, we saw color in their faces and their wounds had made dramatic progress.”
