October 3, 2011: Appnomic Systems Pvt Ltd, a global provider of Software and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions for truly proactive, application-centric, and autonomic management of IT infrastructure, headquartered in Bangalore, India, today named Ray Solnik as president of the company’s U.S Operations. The appointment is effective immediately.
Solnik will focus on growing Appnomic Systems’ software, SaaS, and managed services businesses by targeting and attracting North America based companies interested in leveraging the benefits of data center automation, application performance management, and cloud computing technologies.  Appnomic Systems’ U.S. headquarters are based in Palo Alto, California.
Appnomic uses patent pending proprietary systems, approaches, and technologies for proactively managing enterprise software application performance and automating IT processes.  The technologies and solutions developed by the company have been commercially proven with enterprise customers in India, the Middle East, and Africa.  The company has now appointed Solnik to lead the charge across North America.
In addition to new technology solutions, Appnomic combines completely new pricing constructs, business models, and low costs to the North America market for application performance management and data center automation solutions.  For example, instead of making a large investment in a perpetual software licenses and expensive maintenance fees, Appnomic customers may purchase data center automation technologies as a service and pay for each process they choose to automate or each application monitored.  Like all on-demand solutions, customers pay only for what they use.

Before joining Appnomic Systems, Solnik was president and CEO of Buena Vista Business services, a California consultancy that provides interim executive leadership and management consulting services to technology companies.  Solnik also held C-level positions with OpSource, an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) company recently acquired by Dimension Data – an NTT subsidiary with $4 billion in annual sales, and New Edge Networks, which was acquired by EarthLink, Inc. .
Solnik has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in business administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
