Oct. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Mold was detected Thursday after the inspection on Allentown East Side Fire Station. Heavy rains during the week causes leaks on the building that gave way to an intense mold growth. Station management won’t reconsider an expensive temporary repairs and renovations.

Allentown City council was asked to approve a $4 million bond which includes the expenses for the new Fire Station that will be built on the site.

All the firefighters and equipment were temporarily been moved to Hibernia Station, this will cause one and a half to two minutes delay to the response time. However this does not mean that fire coverage on the area will drop off.
