Indie BeanBag1 Signs Escape Club (#1 Billboard) and Dane & The Co-op (from Big Sur)

Oct. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Monterey, CA based Indie BeanBag1 announced the signing of Escape Club (#1 Billboard) and Dane & The Co-op (from Big Sur) for artist management and album releases.

Escape Club have five previous Billboard Top 100 songs, including #1 "Wild Wild West", which received over 1,200 Mediabase spins in 2011 as of October 1, on Hot AC, Top 40 and AC radio. The new Escape Club album, Celebrity, was recorded in London, Los Angeles, and Sydney. The band has formed a partnership with David Bean, owner of BeanBag1, to release their new album February 7, 2012, on Whipped Cream Records, licensed to BeanBag1 and distributed through Redeye of Haw River, NC.

Founding members and Escape Club songwriters Trevor Steel and John Holliday are joined by drummer Red Broad for the new album. With a summer tour planned following the February release of Celebrity, Escape Club looks forward to performing again. “Playing live was always one of our strengths,” Trevor says, “all those years ago its what got us started in the London clubs and its something we’ve missed very much.”

In a second signing, BeanBag1 executive David Bean first saw Big Sur native Dane Edmondson and his band performing at the acclaimed Henry Miller Library, where The Red Hot Chile Peppers, MGMT, Fleet Foxes, Ryan Adams, Peggy & Neil Young, Jenny Lewis, Gillian Welch, Beach Boy Al Jardine and others have been seen in concert recently. Dane's band, The Co-op, perform his original songs in a California Rock style, with lyrics inspired by his personal experiences as a lifetime resident of Big Sur.

BeanBag1 recently helped facilitate the introduction of Dane & The Co-op to Austin music producer Dwight Baker, resulting in recording scheduled for December followed by a 2012 CD release. BeanBag 1 subsidiary, Artist Airplay Advisors (AAA), the labels radio promotion division, recently helped an indiie band recorded by Texas producer Baker get onto the national Mediabase Triple A radio airplay chart and that led to the relationship. Dane & The Co-op next public appearance is scheduled at the 2011 Carmel Art & Film Festival October 12-16.

BeanBag1 Entertainment, and it's subsidiary AAA led by VP of Promotion J. P. Mosoff, are located in Monterey, CA. AAA promotion has been successful over the past three years placing indie bands on broadcast, internet, and satellite radio. The labels promo department is available for hire by artists not on the label. The company will be promoting a new CD release from chanteuse Ann Kelly, produced by Mark Ross (Mark/Almond Band, Dream Patrol, and two-time Emmy-winning composer) starting in January 2012.
