New England Club Managers Association (NECMA) Elects New Officers & Directors

The Members of the New England Club Managers Association (NECMA), established in 1914, held its Annual Meeting at Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord, Massachusetts on October 17th, and elected new Chapter Officers and Directors.

Oct. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- CONCORD, MASSACHUSETTS - October 17, 2011 - The Members of the New England Club Managers Association (NECMA), the original chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) established in 1914, held its Annual Meeting at Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord, Massachusetts on October 17th, and elected new Chapter Officers and Directors.

The duly appointed Nominating Committee chaired by Richard G. Shultz, CCM  (Past President 2008-2009) with members Barry A. Stacer, CCM (President 2010-2011); and Philip J. Santomaro, CCM, ASS (Director 2006-2008) presented a slate Officers and Directors 2012 to the Association Membership.

The election results are as follows:

President, for a one-year term:
Mr. J. Brent Tartamella, CCM, CCE, Westmoor Club, Nantucket, MA

Vice President, for a one-year term:
Mr. Francisco A. Ventura, CCM, Oak Hill Country Club, Fitchburg, MA

Secretary, for a one-year term:
Mr. William J. Roman, Edgartown Yacht Club, Edgartown, MA

Treasurer, for a one-year term:
Mr. Ali Mahra, CCM, CHAE, CBM, Eastern Yacht Club, Marblehead,MA

Directors, for a three-year term:
Mr. David D. Przybylski, CCM, Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club, New Durham, NH
Mr. Henry W. Sweren, CCM, Wahconah Country Club, Dalton MA

Director, for a two-year term:
Ms. Marilyn P. Sams, CCM, New Bedford Yacht Club, South Dartmouth MA

The newly elected Officers and Directors will join the members of the Board of Directors currently serving: Directors, Kristen B. LaCount, CCM, Clubhouse Manager of The Country Club in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts (term expires 2012); Jeff S. Isbell, CCM, Function Director of Brae Burn Country Club in Newton, Massachusetts (term expires 2013); James P. Simmons, CCM, General Manager of North Andover Country Club in North Andover, Massachusetts (term expires 2013); and  Charles A. Grandon, Clubhouse Manager of Winchester Country Club in Winchester, MA (term expires 2012)..

The newly elected Officers and Directors will assume their duties and responsibilities effective November 1, 2011, and participate in the NECMA Board of Directors' Retreat and Strategic Planning Session in November at the NECMA Offices at William F. Connell Golf House & Museum at TPC Boston in Norton, Massachusetts.

The New England Club Managers Association (NECMA), the original chapter of the Club Managers Association of America, was established in 1914 and has since been a leader in the advancement of opportunities for private club managers, and foremost, students of the culinary and hospitality industries. NECMA has more than 240 members who manage more than 160 private clubs in the New England area.
