Follow on Google News | The Robin Hood Project Holds Second Annual Run/Walk on Saturday, October 8thThe second annual Robin Hood Project 5K Run/1 Mile Walk to benefit families in need in Cumberland and Salem counties is scheduled for Saturday, October 8. The event is sanctioned and timed by USA Track & Field (USATF).
By: The Robin Hood Project The Robin Hood Project, Inc., is a 100% volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Funds raised through the Run/Walk directly assist the Project in continuing its mission of helping local families by providing basic needs, such as furniture and clothes. The 5K race starts at Our Lady of Pompeii Church on Dante Avenue in Vineland at 9 a.m. and features a scenic tour of East Vineland’s farmlands. A one-mile walk for participants is also offered. Runners and walkers of all levels are invited to compete, and all pre-registered participants receive a race day t-shirt and goody bag. Participants may register online at www.therobinhoodproject.org. Registration for the Robin Hood Run/Walk begins at 8 a.m. The John F. Scarpa Foundation is the presenting sponsor for this year’s Run/Walk. Other sponsors include: The Azeez Foundation; The Fresh Wave; Paramount International, Inc.; Pediatric Associates; The Neustadter and Villani families; Ace Plumbing Heating and Electrical Supplies, Inc.; Allen Associates; Big Sky Aviation; Chemglass Life Sciences, LLC; Colonial Bank; Cumberland Nephrology; Footcare Center; HealthSouth; The Robin Hood Project, Inc. began its work in 2008 with charities and local families on to ensure that the neediest residents in Cumberland and Salem counties are directly served. Through donations from family and friends, the grassroots Robin Hood Project delivers clothing, kitchenware, linens, baby supplies and toys to struggling neighbors with limited financial means. The Robin Hood Project supports several local non-profits and educational programs including: The Family Success Center, Cumberland County Special Health Services, The Early Intervention Program of South Jersey Healthcare, The Spanish Community Center, Pathstones and many more.
