For over 12 years Sustainable Works has offered programs that promote sustainable practices in businesses, residences, and college communities. Our programs track the progress of our participants in their efforts to reduce their environmental impact and how well they adopt sustainability in their own lives. We first educate about the environmental problems then offer a variety of solutions so that they can take immediate action.
“The theme ‘Spreading Sustainability” refers to our organization’s concerted effort to expand our programs beyond the City of Santa Monica and provide workshops and Business Greening Programs across Los Angeles County. Currently, thanks to a grant from LADWP which was secured with the help of Council members Bill Rosendahl and Paul Koretz we are working with residents and businesses in Districts 5 and 11 and experiencing fantastic feedback. We feel that this is an important step in achieving our long term goal of becoming the go-to organization for sustainability education throughout Los Angeles and eventually all of Southern California” said Garrett Hart, the Executive Director for Sustainable Works.

Sustainable Works is a non-profit environmental education organization working in the greater Los Angeles area and is a project of Community Partners. Sustainable Works supports the City of Santa Monica's Sustainable City Plan.
