Scintel Technologies ‘Steps Out’ in the Fight Against Diabetes

Sept. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA – Scintel Technologies is pleased to announce the success of the recent American Diabetes Association’s Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes. Scintel is a McKesson Authorized Business Partner and collaborated with McKesson to sponsor this important event and helped raise funds and awareness of the American Diabetes Association. Scintel was proud to offer their support for the Step Out event.

“Once again, Scintel stepped up to help the ADA in the fight to stop diabetes,” said Ian Lockwood, Vice President, McKesson Corporate Strategy & Business Development. “McKesson joined forces with Scintel and other business partners in the Atlanta community to walk in support of this important cause.”

The Step Out walk took place on September 24, 2011, at Grant Park in Atlanta, GA, one of over 150 Step Out events nationwide. Thousands of walkers from all across Georgia joined together early Saturday morning to show their support. Each step they took and every dollar they raised helps the American Diabetes Association provide community based education programs, protect the rights of people with diabetes and fund critical research for a cure.

“The 2011 Atlanta Step Out walk was a fun filled day for an amazing cause,” commented Rhonda King, Associate Manager for the Association. “Friends and co-workers came together to help change the future of diabetes. Thanks to both Scintel and McKesson for their support of the Atlanta community and the fight against diabetes.”
