Sept. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- The Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade (MIFIC, for its acronym in Spanish),  PRONicaragua, the official investment promotion agency of Nicaragua, and the private sector, represented by the American Chamber of Commerce of Nicaragua (AMCHAM), recently presented the 2011 edition of the investor guideline titled Doing Business, whose objective is to promote and facilitate national and foreign investment.

The Doing Business is an annual publication with a circulation of three thousand copies, whose content presents the country’s main investment and business opportunities, legal framework for foreign investment, ease of doing business, immigration procedures, property purchasing process, labor relations between foreign and national investors and international agreements signed by the country.

The document not only constitutes a key tool for the promotion of Nicaragua as an attractive investment destination, but is also a testament of the commitment of the country’s public and private sector in working together to foster economic and social development in the country.

The publication’s launch, sponsored by the Support Program for Improving the Business Climate and Investment (PRAMECLIN, for its acronym in Spanish) and financed by the European Union, was attended by representatives of the country’s economic and commercial sectors, from the private enterprise as well as from government institutions.

The 2011 Doing Business is available online, on the websites of MIFIC, PRONicaragua and AMCHAM and its printed versions will be distributed among its associates as well as through the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MINREX, for its acronym in Spanish). Additionally, it will be distributed locally through the embassies accredited in Nicaragua, national and foreign investors that visit the country, private sector chambers, renowned law firms, universities and government institutions that promote and regulate investment.
