Kaplan EduNeering Produces New Corporate Compliance and Ethics Video Series

Collaboration with Kaplan & Walker LLP, leading compliance law experts, marks 20th anniversary of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines for Organizations

Sept. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- September 29, 2011 – Princeton, New Jersey – Kaplan EduNeering, a leading provider of online compliance and training management solutions, and Kaplan & Walker LLP, a U.S. law firm practicing exclusively in the area of corporate compliance & ethics (“C&E”) programs, announced today that they are collaborating on a series of short videos that will provide key guidance to companies and their advisors on how to develop and implement strong C&E programs.

The first two segments in this complimentary video series are available now on the Kaplan EduNeering web site: www.kaplaneduneering.com/fsgo.

Twenty years ago this November, the U.S. instituted the Federal Sentencing Guidelines for Organizations – the set of standards that have had a uniquely powerful role in shaping and fueling the growth of the corporate compliance & ethics field, both in the U.S. and globally. To commemorate this important occasion, Kaplan EduNeering asked two of the most experienced C&E attorneys in the U.S. – Jeff Kaplan and Rebecca Walker of Kaplan & Walker LLP – to share their knowledge of “what works” when it comes to C&E programs. The product of the collaboration between the two firms is an engaging video series that will offer insightful and practical information regarding some of the most significant C&E program challenges facing organizations of all kinds.

“We have been practicing extensively in the C&E field since the 1990’s,” said Jeff Kaplan, “and welcome the opportunity provided by Kaplan EduNeering to share some of the practical learning derived from that experience.” Rebecca Walker added, “Kaplan EduNeering is to be commended for recognizing the importance of this anniversary, which provides an occasion for companies to take stock of their C&E programs.”

Lisa Clune, President of Kaplan EduNeering, stated, “We are pleased to partner with Kaplan & Walker in producing this timely and thought-provoking video series. Kaplan EduNeering understands the value of providing the tools to help build a healthy ethical culture within organizations.” Ms. Clune went on to say, “The C&E training programs developed by Kaplan EduNeering have assisted hundreds of companies across industries in avoiding the business risks associated with ethical misconduct within their organizations.”

To inaugurate this complimentary video series, Kaplan EduNeering has produced two videos in which Mr. Kaplan and Ms. Walker discuss strategies for successful risk assessment and program assessment. Videos to be released in the coming months will cover:

    - C&E program governance and management;
    - C&E training and other communications;
    - C&E program auditing;
    - Promoting and enforcing C&E standards.

The series should be of interest to both new and experienced C&E professionals, and to others within companies (such as directors as officers) with a need to understand C&E programs. The videos are available for viewing on a complimentary basis at www.kaplaneduneering.com/fsgo.
