Sept. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- STAFF at Safe Solutions, a Cheshire based disinfectant manufacturer, were celebrating yesterday after the company was awarded DEFRA approval for its entire Safe4 concentrate disinfectant range following rigorous testing.

The 20 years old business supplies powerful but entirely safe disinfectants to a wide range of users across the UK and overseas including  schools, hospitals, old people’s homes, animal shelters, dog’s homes, zoos, safari parks, police forces and even the armed forces.

The company took the decision to apply for Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) approval last year and put forward their Safe4 disinfectant range including the Lavender, Apple, Mint and Clear versions for thorough examination and testing.

“We were delighted when Defra confirmed that our entire disinfectant range had achieved the quality standards required for their official approval,” said Safe Solutions General Manager Jayne Holdroyd, speaking from the company’s Winsford headquarters.

“Although we are already the leading supplier of disinfectant in the marketplace we are continually striving to underline our commitment to quality. So it was entirely appropriate for use to apply for Defra approval so our loyal customers can be assured of the safety, quality and effectiveness of our products.

“Although a British quality mark, the Defra accolade carries considerable weight across Europe where our sales are continuing to grow significantly,” added Mrs. Holdroyd. “We export significant quantities of disinfectant to Belgium, Malta, Ireland, France, Romania and Greece. Safe4 is also becoming extremely popular in New Zealand.”

The unique Safe4 formula was devised by former ICI chemist David Anthony nearly 20 years ago. Unlike other products, the solution is far more powerful than over-the-counter disinfectants yet is entirely safe. It does not have to be rinsed away after use and can be safely left to continue protecting the areas it covers.

“That’s why it is currently protecting people in major venues including Alton Towers, Twycross Zoo and the West Midlands Safari Park,” explained Mrs. Holdroyd.

“Although we mainly supply products to businesses and organisations, individuals can and do make purchases from our website,” she added.
