By: Arizona AFL-CIO The summit is part of the AFL-CIO’s efforts, led by Secretary-Treasurer Liz Shuler, to reach out to working people under the age of 35. The summit will include diverse voices from inside and outside the labor movement including AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis and actors Lucas Neff from Fox’s “Raising Hope” and RJ Mitte from “Breaking Bad”. The summit will focus on the current economic crisis and pathways to building a just economy as well as the ongoing attacks on workers’ rights from state legislatures. Seeyle believes that young workers are key to building an economy that works for everyone. “Arizona’s jobs crisis and continuing unemployment is devastating our communities. I’m looking forward to interacting with other young activists and exchanging ideas on how we can stop the attacks on workers and get our economy back on track,” Seeyle said.
