PRLog - Sep. 29, 2011 - Natural stone tiles come in many different types, materials and styles but the one thing that all natural stone tiles have in common is the natural characteristics that are as a result of their development process. Marble tiles for example are characteristic of the vein like lines running through the marble tiles that result in no two tiles being the same. Similarly slate tiles will differ slightly in their shades due to the way they are developed. Many home owners are attracted to natural stone for this very reason and because they are a tile that will add real character to any room they are installed in.

Marble tiles come in various colours and shades with white marble tiles being incredibly popular in bathrooms areas. They are great tiles for bringing nature indoors and the white marble tile variety adds both elegance and style, the lighter shades also compliment other colour variations within the bathroom.  There are many colour variations when it comes to marble tiles and many different finishes, the colours available include, white marble, grey, black, grey, cappuccino and other colour variations which incorporate whites and greys.
Slate tiles also come in a variety of colours with the black and grey being very popular within the home. The darker colours of slate tiles means that darker grout can be used and this is ideal for busy areas of the home where there is a high level of traffic. Slate colours include black slate, grey slate, multicolour and green slate. There may also be other colour variations depending on the supplier you use.

Travertine tiles really bring nature indoors and are generally available in light rustic tones that will certainly add character to any room. They are commonly installed within bathrooms and kitchens and can be used as wall tiles and floor tiles. Travertine tiles are classed as the optimum in beauty and come in a range of light shades including gold’s, browns, greys, ivory and different variations of the colour brown.

Limestone tiles are also available in light beautiful tones and are available as wall tiles and floor tiles, colours include light greys, light beiges, browns and soft gold’s.

There are quite a few options when it comes to granite tiles and this strong and durable tile is suitable for many places within the home. The colours range from warm gold’s and beiges to dark blacks and greys depending on your preferences and the existing decor.
Natural stone tiles are fantastic at adding character and design to any room within the home and there are many variations in the design choices. Natural stone tiles come in many different colours and sizes and there are an abundance of deign patterns and styles that can create different ambiences within the home.  Many home owners use different natural stone tiles in combination with each other and this can work really well.
